I have to say… I had a great day on Saturday.
Weddings like Laura and Andrew’s Manly Q Station wedding are the reason I’m a documentary photographer. Always have been and, following Saturday, always will be!
It was simple really – take a bunch of your closest family and friends, invite them to a pretty wharf overlooking Manly, lovely late afternoon sunshine (OK I’d like to take the credit for that but it wasn’t strictly planned. But what a bonus), get hitched to your best mate, eat and drink nice things, wander around the numerous great little spots around the Q Station (seriously there’s too many – the beach, the buildings, the bush…) taking some chilled photos. Then cue party!! Add more nice food and drink, some raucous speeches, a banging dance floor (including a wicked conga dance… always, always easier to pull off after nice food and drink), a serious candy bar and what about that photo-booth!
All I had to do was be there, enjoy it and at the same time take a whole bunch of photo’s (2,411 to be precise. Crikey!)
I went home a very happy chappie!
